Wow! Thank you so much to Johanna, a bride whose wedding I worked at in July. She just posted the sweetest blog about Makeup Deluxe. Not only was it a blast working with her, her fashion style is incredible and her wedding was spectacular...held at none other than the beautiful Carneros Inn in Napa.
Below is a snippet of the blog post...
“My wedding day was the prettiest I have ever felt in my life, so thank you. I think the key to feeling your best is to know when to leave the party the day before. I was in bed at 10 and had only two glasses of wine so no hangover and no bags under the eyes! I still had the jitters so I made sure to eat and drink as much water as possible before the ceremony since it was outside. And it truly helps when you work with people who know what they are doing. My makeup artist was Julie Olson of Makeup Deluxe (check out her blog here) and Gray Gilligan of Salon 12 (I sent her images of Kate Hudson and she nailed it). Doing your homework helps and so does including visuals. Other than that – a facial and a microderm and I was good to go!”

Thank you so much Johanna! It was a pleasure being a part of your special day! You were a truly stunning bride!

Not only do I love all things makeup....I love all things regarding hair too! Check out Shu Uemura's Essence Absolue. It's a multi-use elixir that protects while rebalancing the moisture level of your hair. All you have to do is apply one pump into the palm of your hand before styling or as a pre-shampoo treatment, apply four pumps onto dry hair and comb through prior to shampooing.
I've never seen my hair look so shiny, healthy and amazing. My hairstylist introduced this to me after getting my highlights done. I couldn't stop touching my hair! Then to my dismay I found out that not only was my salon sold out of the product but that it was sold out everywhere! I resorted to bidding on it on eBay and when it arrived on my front door step I could not have been more thrilled. This stuff is magic in a bottle! I can't say enough good things about this product...you just have to go out and get it for yourself.
BTW - Shu Uemura was finally able to meet the demand for this product and is now selling it on their website and also in selected salons. Check it out at www.shuuemuraartofhair-usa.com
Your hair will thank you :)

I've tried many foundation brushes and I have finally found one that I just can't live without! It is the Blender Brush by Giorgio Armani Cosmetics. Simply amazing! It is made from luxurious soft sable and is slightly rounded at the edges to follow the curves of the face. This brush dispenses the perfect amount of makeup onto the skin to create a flawless, airbrushed effect when used with any liquid foundation. Flawless results!
It also was recently named an Allure Magazine "Best of Beauty" Award winner!

Aimee O'Boyle is simply the best at what she does! She worked her magic to create my amazing business cards and am thrilled with how they turned out. She also created my business logo a couple of months ago and just love it. At first, I wanted a simple, single-sided business card but she persuaded me to get double-sided and I'm so glad she did! I think it gives it a special "wow" factor with the beautiful design on the back. Thank you Aimee!
"So awhile back I showed you the new Makeup Deluxe logo that we worked on and now I can show you the coordinating business cards we designed for them! Actually they've been done for some time now but I am just getting to posting them...
I love designing double sided business cards...not only is a great place to add your services or specialties but it also adds a little "somethin' something'" to the backside!"

Sandy B Lipstick by MAC
Moth to Flame Dazzleglass by MAC
I am in constant search for the perfect nude lip and I recently came across a fun combination that I think looks great on everyone! Check out Sandy B lipstick and Moth to Flame Dazzleglass by MAC and you will fall in love with these colors! Sandy B is a frosty light shell pink lipstick and Moth to Flame is a sheer neutral beige with violet pearl gloss. Add these two colors to your palette and they will look great for either a fresh day look or with a smoky eye for an evening look.
